Welcome back to fall, eastern Iowa. After overnight storms tracked out, we are left with a few showers this morning before drying out this afternoon. A cold front swept through and brought the rain and storms through our area. Slight cooler but more seasonable air follows the front today and into the week. Highs today reach the upper 50s to low 60s from north to south. Skies clear to partly cloudy this afternoon.
The mercury falls into the lower 40s for all of eastern Iowa tonight. Highs Monday warm into the low to mid-60s for just about everyone. Another blast of cold air comes on Tuesday along with strong winds and rain chances. Highs Tuesday may fail to reach even 50° for parts of the area.
