School bond votes in several communities

Posted: Updated:
DUNKERTON (KWWL) -

Today, eastern Iowa voters are deciding whether millions of dollars should be spent on their schools.

There are bond votes in the Clear Creek Amana, Dunkerton, Ed-Co, Iowa City, Linn-Mar and West Branch school districts.

In Dunkerton, a $6 million bond would pay for new classrooms.

In the Edgewood-Colesburg School District, $7 million would pay for a number of maintenance projects, including work on the roof, restrooms and to add parking.

Voters in West Branch will decide whether to support a $20 million bond for a two-building, two-campus district.

The Clear Creek Amana Community School District has a $36 million bond issue at stake. The money would pay for many things, including a new elementary building in Tiffin, a new gym at Clear Creek Elementary and safety/security improvements.

Voters in the Iowa City Community School District are deciding a $192 million bond.

There's an $80 million plan on the ballot in the Linn-Mar School District.

The polls close tonight at 8 p.m.
