Mark Moran to appraise at Antiques & Collectibles Appraisal event

Antiques expert and author Mark Moran will be a guest appraiser at an informal antiques appraisal show at the Waterloo Public Library. 

The show will be on September 16 from 1:00 -4:00 p.m.

Moran is the author of more than 25 books on antiques and collectibles. He has been active as an antique and fine art appraiser for more than 20 years, and has served as a guest expert on PBS's Antiques Road show.

You can preregister at the WPL Reference Desk. There is a $10 fee per item. When you register library staff will provide the time of your reservation. 

Items accepted for appraisal include: fine art; furniture; ceramics; glassware; vintage photographs; advertising; folk art; toys; metalware; clocks; costume jewelry; musical instruments; sporting collectibles; books and more.

Excluded items include: all weapons, including swords and knives (though folding knives with advertising are accepted); traps (like leg-hold); Nazi memorabilia; coins and paper money; fine jewelry, including precious gems; Beanie babies.
