UPDATE: Victim identified in Waterloo shooting

UPDATE: Waterloo police have released the name of the victim in a weekend shooting.

The shooting happened Saturday morning in the 1200 block of W. Mullan Avenue.

Police say Cyrus Banks was seriously injured from gunshot wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital. He's 32.  Police say he's in critical but stable condition, and is expected to survive. 

No arrests have been made, but police say they have a person of interest. Officers are still investigating.

UPDATE: A man is seriously injured from a shooting in Waterloo.

Waterloo Police say when they arrived on scene, they found a man with life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital. 

Police have not yet released the name of the victim.

Waterloo Police are on scene of a shooting in the 1200 block of W. Mullan Avenue. Police say they have been on scene since 2 a.m.

A home on W. Mullan is blocked off by police tape and investigators are on scene.

Neighbors say they heard a loud bang around 2 a.m. followed by screaming.

Once police arrived people in the area say they took someone out of the home on a stretcher. No word on any injuries.
