Dubuque man charged with intent to deliver meth

Police in Dubuque say a man is in custody after meth was found inside his house during a search.

32-year-old Joshua Carter is in custody in the Dubuque County Jail. The Dubuque Police Neighborhood Response Team, Tactical Team, Patrol Division and the Dubuque Drug Task Force used a narcotics search warrant on Carter's house in the 2100 block of North Main Street in Dubuque last night. During the search, officers say about a third of a pound of Ice methamphetamine was found, along with over $4,700 in cash, drug paraphernalia and about 20 grams of marijuana and along with ammunition. 

Carter was arrested and now faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Class B Felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison), Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver (Class D Felony punishable by up to five years in prison), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).

Last night's search happened around 10:10 p.m.
