WATERLOO (KWWL) -

This morning, Deere released its third quarter numbers, reporting $642 million in earnings.

That's up 31.3%.

Deere says the better numbers have been helped by a stronger demand for farm equipment, specifically in South America.

The company also raised its full-year sales and profit forecasts.

"John Deere reported another quarter of strong performance as the company continued to benefit from improving market conditions throughout the world. We are seeing higher overall demand for our products with farm machinery sales in South America experiencing strong gains and construction equipment sales rising sharply," said CEO Samuel Allen.
