Taipei, Taiwan (KWWL) -

Just hours after landing in Taipei the Iowa baseball team got right down to business, posting a 10-5 win over the Czech National Team in an exhibition contest Thursday afternoon.

The Hawkeyes, representing team USA at the World University Games, got a pair of 3-run home runs out of Robert Neustrom to clinch the victory. The contest was an agreed-upon seven inning game as both teams get set to open the tournament this weekend.

"We had some guys swing it. We had some guys that struggled a bit," said Iowa head coach Rick Heller, "Defensively we played well. It couldn't have worked out any better for what we were wanting."

Iowa opens tournament play against the Mexican National Team on Sunday. The Hawkeyes will take part in the opening flag raising ceremony on Friday.
