From carrots to diamonds: Ring found in garden after 13 years

A green thumb turns out to be lucky for one family in Canada.

A woman lost her diamond engagement ring 13 years ago, and now has it back. She lost it in her garden, and at the time, thought it was gone for good.

"I went to the garden for something and then I don't know I saw this big, big weed and I don't know why I had to pull it. I should have left it or at least pulled with my right hand. It must have got caught in here somewhere and pulled the ring off and I still can't figure out the big knuckle, it got over it somehow," Mary Gram said.

This week, the ring was found on a carrot! Gram's daughter-in-law is harvesting a garden, and pulled out the winning carrot. Gram, who is 84, put it back on her finger and it still fits. She got the ring in 1951, a year before she married her husband.
