Absentee ballots now available in Dubuque County

School board elections are just weeks away and Dubuque County school election absentee ballots are now available.

Absentee ballots for the September 12th Dubuque Community, and Western Dubuque Community schools and Northeast Iowa Community College board elections are available at the Dubuque County Election Office or by mail.

Absentee ballots may be cast in the Election Office, 4th Floor of the Court House, or at the Election Annex, 75 Locust, during office hours, from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through September 11th.

Both offices will be open until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8th and Monday, September 11th. The Election office and annex will be closed on Labor Day, September 4th.

Forms for requesting an absentee ballot be mailed to the voter can be obtained from the election office or at the “request an absentee ballot” link on the election webpage at  http://www.dubuquecounty.org

Requests for absentee ballots must be received by the Election Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 8th.

Ballots must be postmarked by September 11th at midnight, or returned to the Election Office in the Court House by the close of the polls (8:00 p.m.) on September 12th.
