The Iowa State Fair crowned a new queen, Saturday night.
Jacqueline Ehrlich, 19, of Dubuque County was crowned the 53rd Iowa State Fair Queen.
Ehrlich competed against more than 100 county fair queens from around Iowa.
According to the Iowa State Fair, judging was based on personality, attitude, leadership, citizenship, contribution to the community, overall appearance, charm, and poise.
Among other prizes, Ehrlich won $8,000 in scholarship.
Ehrlich was crowned by another young lady from Eastern Iowa. Wartburg College student-athlete Amanda Riniker of Buchanan County passed on the crown and sash to Ehrlich.
