Walt Disney has put up a lighthouse sculpture as a tribute to a two-year-old boy who was killed by an alligator last year at one of its hotels.

The lighthouse was installed within the last week near where Lane Thomas Graves lost his life.

Last year, the two-year-old was playing along the Seven Seas Lagoon Beach when he was grabbed by an alligator. His father jumped into the water to try and save him. Lane's body was found 16 hours later, his death was ruled an accident.

In a statement, Disney says the sculpture was installed to spread awareness of the Lane Thomas Foundation.

The organization was founded in honor of the two-year-old to "provide assistance and support for families whose children need organ transplants."
