Ben Morhac named Clarke La Crosse head coach

Ben Morhac has been named the new head coach for Clarke University Lacrosse.

Clarke University Athletic Director Curt Long announced Tuesday that Morhac has joined the Pride’s coaching staff as head men’s and women’s lacrosse coach.

Morhac was a four-year starter at St. Norbert College and was a member of the 2010 conference championship team. He served as co-captain from 2008 to 2010.

A native of Kent, Ohio, Morhac comes to Clarke from Bexley High School, Bexley, Ohio, where he served as head varsity coach from 2014 to 2016.

Prior to his stint at Bexley, Morhac held lacrosse head coaching positions at Big Walnut High School (2013-14) and at St. Norbert College (2008-2010).  He led St. Norbert’s club team to its best record in school history and first division title in 2010.

Morhac was the Westerville (Ohio) Select lacrosse team assist coach in 2013 and was the Westerville South High School assistant varsity coach in 2012-2013. He was the goalie and face-off coach in 2012 and the defensive coach in 2013.

Morhac was a four-year lacrosse varsity letterwinner at Archbishop Hoban High School, here he had the highest save percentage in Ohio in 2006. He was cited as the All-Region Team Division II goalie and the All-Ohio Team Division II goalie.

Morhac received his bachelor of arts degree from St. Norbert College.
