Your guide to Iowa Irish Fest

Posted: Updated:

Tradition will reign when the Ceremonial Procession kicks off the 2017 edition of Iowa Irish Fest this Friday, August 4, at 4 p.m.

The traditional Irish procession, complete with bagpipes, will come across the 4th Street Bridge on route to Lincoln Park.

At 4:30, the Trinity Irish Dancers take the stage to begin the Friday night entertainment.

5:30-6:45, it's the Dublin City Ramblers, followed by The Screaming Orphans at 7:30.

At 8:45, when the Screaming Orphans complete their show, George Casey will entertain the crowd while the main stage, the Nagle stage, is readied for the Friday night headliner, Scythian.

Scythian performs from 9:30 until 11:00 p.m.
