Police are looking for robbery suspect

Waterloo police are looking for an armed robbery suspect. 

Waterloo Police Department responded to an alarm at Yesway convenience store located at 1976 Franklin Street around 12:50 a.m. 

According to police, when they arrived the store had been robbed by a suspect armed with a handgun and threatened to kill the clerk if he did not give him the money from the register. 

The suspect left the store by foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a man in his twenties around 5’ 10” and 150 pounds and was wearing a navy colored hooded sweatshirt with a Nike swoosh in the upper left corner. The store clerk received no injuries during the incident.
