The killing of Cecil the lion by an American dentist in Africa back in 2015 brought about an international outcry. Now, his son named "Xanda" has been killed in the same area.

The killing of the six-year-old lion was denounced by a number of conservation groups. The president of the conservation group "Born Free" said the lion species is on a free fall. He cites estimates that there are only 20,000 wild lions left in Africa.

Xanda was killed around July 7, just outside a national park in Zimbabwe. Experts said he had a pride of cubs, which are in danger now if another male tries to take over the group. The hunter, who killed Xanda, was led by professional Game Hunter Richard Cooke. He's the same person who led the hunt that killed Cecil.

Cecil was killed in a hunt in which he was illegally lured out of the park with bait.
