Get the quacks ready for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa Annual Duck Race during RAGBRAI. It's happening July 26th.

All proceeds will go toward the mentoring program in Floyd County

As many as 3,000 rubber ducks will be dropped into the Cedar River at 5:00 pm from the Main Street Bridge in Charles City.

They'll race half a mile down the river, going through the Whitewater kayak course, to the finish line by the ball fields.

The owner of the first adopted duck to cross the finish line will win $500. Additional prizes will be awarded to the next 10 or more finishing ducks.

There will also be a prize for the duck that crosses the finish line last.

Ducks can be adopted for $5 for one “Lone Duck”, $25 for a “Six-Quack,” or $100 for a Feathered Flock (25 ducks).
