Free yard waste day in Asbury

The City of Asbury plans a free yard waste day for local residents.

The 'Free Yard Waste Day' will be Thursday, July 20, 2017.

The City of Asbury reminders residents;  there are special yard waste guidelines for this pick up.

A yard waste container is a receptacle with a capacity of greater than 9 gallons but not greater than 32 gallons constructed of plastic or galvanized metal, and having a tight-fitting lid capable of preventing entrance into the container by vermin.

The mouth of the container shall have a diameter greater than or equal to that of the base. The weight of the container and its contents cannot exceed 40 pounds.

*Set curbside by 6 a.m. *Tree branches cannot exceed 3” in diameter. Bundles of tree branches, shrubs, and brush trimmings must be securely tied with a string or rope, together forming an easily handled package not exceeding 3 feet in length; 18” in diameter and 40 lbs in weight. If your yard waste does not meet the special regulations for this pick up, it will not be picked up.

This special pick up is not for whole tree removal.
