Accused murderer's attorney wants trial moved

Posted: Updated:

The public defender's office in an eastern Iowa murder case is trying to get the trial moved.

In the case, Helmon Betwell is accused of attacking and murdering Nancy Krapfl in September of 2015.

Krapfl was walking in Dubuque at the time of the alleged attack, and died from her injuries. Betwell was ruled not competent to stand trial at first, but has now been cleared. His attorney is telling KWWL this week that Betwell's team is considering asking for a move, because of pre-trial publicity.
