Good times at Delaware County Fair

A fun filled week at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester comes to an end.

People reflected on their time spent at the fair.

"Every year we come out here. I've been in 4-H for the past 8 years, and I love it, we camp out here all week, and it's a great event," said McKenzie Harter of Dyersville.

This year, there was a little bit of everything -- carnival rides, games, food, and demolition derby.

A big crowd pleaser is the draft horse show. The competition attracts the best from all across the country.  "The judge is looking for performance, he's looking for presence, he's looking for animation, lot of motion, lot of move," said Albert Cleve of Farmington, Missouri.

Earlier in the week, crowds were entertained with performances by musical artists, The Beach Boys and Sawyer Brown.

Management says it was a good week.

"You know, we've just had a fantastic week, had a little bit of weather the first part of the week, but then we had perfect skies Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and great crowds," said Jeannie Domeyer, manager.
