UPDATE: Missing man believed to have dementia found

IOWA COUNTY (KWWL) -

UPDATE: Pedro Macias has been found alive according to the Iowa County Sheriff's Office. 

Officials say he was found in a field near his last known location by a Monsanto employee who was out looking for him. 

Macias was flown to the University of Iowa Hospital to be treated for dehydration. 

The Iowa County Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone who gave them tips and who searched for Mr. Macias.

Iowa County Sheriff's Office is looking for 63-year-old Pedro Macias, of Texas, who arrived in Iowa County on July 10 to start new employment in the area. 

Macias went missing on the same day around 2:00 p.m. in the 2600 block of J Avenue northeast of Millersburg. 

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and an orange T-shirt. Macias is believed to have the onset of dementia.
