Several roads closed in Clayton County after storms bring flooding

CLAYTON COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office is asking people to avoid the area of 11 roads, after overnight storms triggered widespread flooding in parts of the county.

Sheriff Mike Tschirgi says the following roads are closed at this time, as emergency crews work to clean up damage:

- Cherry Valley Road-West of HWY 52

- Noble Road-From Millville to Mesquite Road

- Millville Road-From Millville to Osterdock Road

- Mesquite Road-From Osterdock to Millville Road

- Marengo Road-From Mesquite Road to Mohogany Avenue 

- Flood Road-From Marengo Road to 355th Street

- Laser Road-From 355th Street to Millville Road

- 355th Street-From Osterdock Road

 -Kale Avenue-From Johles Hollow Road to Osterdock Road 

- Kiln Road-From Kale Avenue to Osterdock 

- Johles Hollow Road-From Osterdock Road to Kale Avenue

The Sheriff's Office also says residents can report damage to Clayton County Emergency Management agency via email at damage@claytoncountyia.gov with information on where the damage is located.
