Man accused of robbing Casey's General Store with knife

Cedar Rapids police have arrested 19-year-old Anthony Skriver for allegedly robbing a Casey's General Store with a knife. 

It happened at the Casey's in the 1600 block of 32nd Street NE on Saturday just after 3 a.m. 

Police say an officer patrolling the area saw Skriver standing outside of the store with a knife in one hand and cash in the other.

The officer made the arrest after asking Skriver to drop the knife, which he did. 

According to police Skriver told the officer he had just robbed Casey's. 

An investigation concluded Skriver robbed Casey's with a knife and demanded cash. 

Police also determined Skriver was driving a stolen vehicle from Muscatine and had marijuana and meth.

Skriver is being charged with 1st Degree Robbery, 2nd Degree Theft, 5th Degree Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Controlled Substance-marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance-methamphetamine.
