IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The football home of the Hawkeyes has a new look, with Iowa's famous "Tigerhawk" now visible at midfield.

A Hawkeyesports.com live stream of Kinnick Stadium's new turf installation in Iowa City now shows the University of Iowa's athletic logo on the field.

Iowa has never had the "Tigerhawk" at midfield -- the last time a midfield logo was used at Kinnick was when the school's block "I" ran along the 50-yard-line from 1972-1980. Midfield has been blank ever since.

The new surface continues to be installed, as today workers can be seen placing yard line numbers on the field.

The Iowa football team will take the new field for the first time in front of Hawkeyes fans in less than two months, with the home opener against Wyoming kicking off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2.
