Trump's "first in person meeting" with Putin at G20 Summit

President Trump, and several other world leaders, are preparing to travel to Germany after the July 4th holiday for the G20 Summit.

All eyes will be on the highly-anticipated "first in person meeting" between Trump and Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

It's still unclear whether this will be an informal pull aside or if this will be more of a diplomatic sit-down in an official capacity.

But the white house has still been unable to keep the Senate from voting for a fresh round of sanctions, much to Moscow's chagrin.

The area in which they have the most disagreement is Syria. Just in the past couple of months, American fighter jets have actually attacked Syrian Government airplanes over Syrian airspace, which prompted Moscow to come out and say any US warplanes over western Syria would be considered viable targets. While that's a major escalation, most pundits are expecting this first meeting to look more like a love-in.

Trump will also be meeting with Angela Merkel, the German chancellor and she's expected to confront Trump on issues of the environment.
