UPDATE: Charles City murder suspect arrested in Chicago

UPDATE: Charles City Police say Antoine Williams, 36, was arrested in Chicago on Wednesday night. Williams is accused of killing Nathaniel Fleming in Charles City on June 30. Charles City Police say Williams isn't facing any charges in Chicago. 


PREVIOUS: Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Nathaniel Fleming, of Mason City.

The suspect, Antoine Williams, remains on the loose.  Officers say a red 2006 Chevy Equinox linked to Williams was found in the 900 block of Oneida St. in Waterloo.  


PREVIOUS: One person is dead after a shooting in Charles City.

The shooter has not been caught and is considered armed and dangerous. 

Friday night just before 10 p.m., Charles City Police Department  took a call of shots fired in the 2100 block of Clarkview Drive. The victim was transported to the Floyd County Medical Center where they were pronounced dead. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. 

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was called to assist and through the investigation Antoine Williams was named as a suspect. Williams seen here, age 36, is 6’07” and weighs about 250 pounds. A warrant has been issued for 1st degree murder for Williams.

He is currently not in custody. He is considered armed and dangerous. He may be in a red 2006 Chevy Equinox with Iowa plate DOW568.Please do not approach and call the CCPD at (641) 228-3366 or 911 if you do spot him.
