Crews say there is a total of five fires intentionally set at abandoned buildings in Waterloo.

The first fire happened at an abandoned home near 8th and Jefferson Streets around 3:00 a.m.  Flames could be seen coming from the building, which was destroyed.

Shorty after, firefighters responded to a home in the 100 block of Irving St.  The fire was contained to the porch.

Three others came afterwards, two of which were also at abandoned homes.  One of those happened near the intersection of Logan and Lincoln, and the other in the 500 block of Pine St.

A fifth was reported at a bakery on Mulberry St.

Crews say nobody was injured in any of the fires, but they are still looking for the person or people responsible.
