EARLVILLE (KWWL) -

The former secretary and treasurer of the Earlville Athletic Association is facing a fraudulent practices charge after more than $8,500 was allegedly spent inappropriately.

According to a report from the Iowa Auditor's Office, Kimberly Snyder spent $2,682.79 in utility payments, $1,595.24 on loan payments for Snyder’s personal residence or personal vehicle, $2,898.71 of purchases made from various vendors not related to the Association’s operations, and a $500 payment issued to Snyder’s husband which had no supporting documentation. The improper disbursements identified also include $825 of improper cash withdrawals from the Association’s bank account.

State Auditor Mary Mosiman said it wasn't possible to tell if additional amounts were improperly dispersed or if any collections were not properly deposited because there weren't adequate records.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office confirms they have filed a 2nd Degree fraudulent practices charge with Delaware County, and are waiting for a warrant.
