DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

An eastern Iowa woman accused of beating her ex-husband to death with a baseball bat could soon stand trial, as a competency hearing has again been set for her case.

Dolores Flynn of Dubuque was arrested in January 2016 for the death of Gary Breckenridge. The 72-year-old man's body was found inside a home in the 2900 block of Jackson Street, while Flynn was taken into custody in an area laundromat several days after the crime.

Today, an order setting a third competency hearing was filed, and will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Flynn was previously ruled not competent to stand trial in April 2016 and April 2017.
