First place Bucks blast way to win in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY, Ontario, Canada (KWWL) -

Waterloo cranked a pair of late game home runs as the Bucks topped Thunder Bay 6-1 for their third straight win.

The Bucks (19-7) increased their lead in the Northwoods League's North Division to 1.5 games with the win.

Waterloo opened the scoring in the top of the fourth inning with an RBI sacrifice fly off the bat of Drew Greenwood. Cole McDevitt drove in another on a flare down the right field line for a 2-0 lead.

Tyler Stover drove in Dalton Hurd with a rope to centerfield in the 5th inning. Stover later cracked a solo home run in the eighth for a 4-1 lead at the time. Zach Malis capped the night, belting a two-run shot over the right field wall in the top of the 9th.

Anthony Ruden (2-0) picked up the win striking out six, while allowing just four hits in six innings pitched.
