WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Luke Garza looks ready to bolster Iowa's inside game. The 6' 11" center has impressed in early Prime Time League competition as he gets set for his freshman campaign with the Hawkeyes.

Garza scored 41 points in his league debut last week, while fellow freshman big man Jack Nunge scored 35 in a couple of efforts which should have fans somewhat optimistic.

"I'm going to help in any way I can. I'm going to play as hard as I can any time I touch the floor whenever coach decides to put me out there," Garza said on Thursday night in Waterloo, "I'm just going to do whatever I can to help the team in any way, so that's my role."

Garza comes to Iowa as the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year in Washington, D.C. He averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds during his senior season of high school.
