WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Wyatt Lohaus wanted to make a difference on the court last season. That didn't happen as the senior UNI guard missed the Panthers final 29 games due to an ankle injury. Thanks to receiving a medical redshirt, he'll have another chance.

Lohaus' rehab has ended, and now the goal is to get back to full form on the court. He's been doing that playing in the Prime Time League in North Liberty and Waterloo this summer.

The point guard looks to be close, scoring 24 in Thursday night's action, the second leading scorer on his squad behind Iowa newcomer Luke Garza.

Lohaus says he's had tunnel vision on his ultimate goal since going down last season.

"Once we decided to get the redshirt, the main focus has been getting ready for next year," he said on Thursday in Waterloo, "so it's been just rehab, trying to execute that as well as I could every day, getting in the weight room, lifting obviously because I wasn't practicing or playing, gaining strength, and just basically doing whatever I could to help this next season."

Lohaus averaged 4.5 points per game in the only 6 contests he competed in last season.
