Iowa woman sentenced for tax fraud and identity theft
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
A woman who stole other's identities and filed false tax returns asking for more than $250,000 is sentenced to seven years in prison. 38-year-old Kaeisha Robinson, who used to live in Maquoekta and Dubuque, pleading guilty to identity theft charges.
She admits to making false claims between May 2011 and February 2013. She also admits to lying on forms to receive more than $12,000 worth of Section 8 housing assistance.
Along with seven years in prison, she has to pay back more than $336,000 to the Internal Revenue Service, as well as the $12,000 to the Eastern Iowa Regional Housing Authority.
