John Deere assembling tractor with 2 millionth engine

Posted: Updated:

John Deere is quickly delivering its 2 millionth engine built in Waterloo.

A Washington farming operation paid over $220,000 for it, and they already have over 50 tractors on their farm. AgriNorthwest manager Jerald Sanders is waiting for the tractor to come off the line at 2:30 p.m. He got to come and watch the tractor be assembled all day, watching the process step-by-step. AgriNorthwest grows mostly corn and potatoes.

This is all apart of the Gold Key program at John Deere which allows customers to drive their tractor off the lot. The Gold Key program gives an exclusive opportunity to see firsthand the quality workmanship built into the machine. We'll have that moment tonight on the KWWL News at 6.
