Possibility of slick roads in the morning in Dubuque

Posted: Updated:
DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

5.7 inches of snow fell over Dubuque this weekend.

Road conditions have been looking pretty good throughout Sunday in Dubuque, until the last round of snow late in the afternoon.

There are now some slick spots on the roads. However, plow trucks are out and will be overnight clearing and salting roads as needed.

Drivers tell KWWL it's not as bad as they expected. "I was expecting a lot more snow. I just came home from Rockford...as I got towards Dubuque they were a lot better," said Theodore Bissell.

Dubuque police says there were only a handful of weather-related crashes. All of them minor.

However, it's going to be getting colder overnight. With those falling temps, there will be more slick spots in the morning.

So you'll want to take it easy during your commute.
