CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Police in Cedar Falls have charged an ex-employee of Midas Muffler for allegedly damaging the business during a reported burglary on Halloween.

30-year-old Thomas Young of Waterloo turned himself in at the Black Hawk County Jail this morning, and was charged with a Felony burglary charge as well as charges for criminal mischief and causing damage. The charges date back to October 31, when officers were called to the Midas Muffler at 4810 University Avenue on a report of a business burglary. Police say nothing was reported missing from the scene, but damage was done to the reception area of the business. An investigation determined Young was at the business at the time of the burglary.

Police say Young is currently in custody on the charges.
