(KWWL) -

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a deadly fire in Oelwein.

Investigators believe the victim is a 62-year-old woman. Authorities say she died after her camper caught fire.

The Oelwein Fire Chief says crews responded just before 2 a.m. at 14363 35th St east of Oelwein. Authorities say the 911 call was made by her husband, who said she was stuck inside.

When firefighters arrived, the camper was already engulfed in flames. The woman died inside the camper.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire in harsh single digit weather. They contained the fire before it spread onto the abandoned building next door to the camper.

State Fire Marshal's office says they are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Authorities are waiting to notify the family, before they release the name of the victim.
