Posted: Updated:

At least five people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning, and one person possibly died from injuries.

According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, the driver of a 2010 Toyota Prius lost control in snowy conditions, crossed a center line, and hit the driver of a 2010 Toyota Highlander around 10:00 a.m.

The crash happened near 3061 Highway 30 in Tama County.

Witnesses say the road was closed for several hours.

According to the crash report, four of the people involved in the crash were saved by a seatbelt.

The crash report indicates the fifth person was wearing a seatbelt, but it does not indicate whether they were saved.

We have put in calls with Iowa State Troopers to see whether the fifth person was killed, and we have not yet heard back.
