Posted: Updated:

We now know the names of the victims involved in a crash that sent a pickup truck through an Iowa Walmart.

Investigators say the following people were killed in the accident: Carrie Zugg, 31 from Leighton, Lindsey Rietveld, 29 from Bussey, and Ruth Jean DeJong, 76 from Pella.

Robert DeJong, 77, from Pella was hospitalized along with the driver Dennis Mockenhaupt, 66, from Knoxville.

Mothers, wives, and a great-grandmother; three woman who's lives were taken when a silver truck flew through the grocery section of Walmart on a cold Thursday morning.

Jean DeJong was shopping with her husband when she was hit by the truck. Her husband remains in the hospital.

KWWL spoke to a friend and co-worker of Jean's over the phone. The friend says Jean was a light in the community and a leader in the Special Education Department at Lincoln Elementary in Pella before her retirement.

"She was very gentle and she was very quiet. She was very soft spoken, but she was very knowledgeable. She was a very wise woman and I think the kids sensed that," said Lesly Carbiener.

The other two victims were Walmart employees.

According to a website, Lindsey Rietveld planned to renew her vows with her husband on their 10th anniversary this summer.

Her co-worker, Carrie Zugg was a mother to a one-year-old son.

A co-worker and friend posted a video Friday morning saying, "I wanted to see what everyone left for Lindsey and Carrie . . .and it hit me."

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
