Third and final UNI presidential candidate announced

Mark Nook is the third finalist announced in the search for UNI's next president. Nook is the chancellor at Montana State University Billings.

Nook is also familiar with Iowa.

He earned a Master’s of Science degree in Astrophysics from Iowa State University.

James Wohlpart, UNI's interim president, is also a finalist for the top job on the Cedar Falls campus. Today, Wohlpart will spend the day on campus where there will be a public forum. He's been serving as interim president since Bill Ruud left earlier this year to take a job at Marietta College in Ohio.

Yesterday, Neil Theobald, also a finalist, visited campus. Theobald is the former president of Temple University.

Following the campus visits, the Board of Regents will meet on December 6th to interview the 3 finalists and select a new president.
