UPDATE: 17-year-old injured in Waterloo shooting

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

UPDATE: We're learning more about a Sunday night shooting in Waterloo. 

Police responded to Allen Hospital around 7 p.m. for a person who was shot.

Police tell us the victim is 17 years old. He is expected to survive.

Officers believe the shooting happened in the 700 block of Kern Street.

No arrests have been made.

Waterloo Police were called to Allen Hospital around 7:00 p.m. Sunday for a person who was shot.

According to dispatchers, the person was admitted to the hospital for a gunshot wound.

We are trying to confirm more information with the Waterloo Police Department as they investigate the incident.

We do know the victim is male.
