Coe running back Trevor Heitland has been named one of ten semifinalists for the Gagliardi Trophy. The award is presented annually to the top division III football player in the country.

Heitland has helped lead the Kohawks to the second round of the playoffs and the first 11 win season in school history.

The Cedar Rapids Kennedy alum finished the regular season second in the country in rushing yards (1,619) and tops in all-purpose yards (217 per game).

The Coe senior has already been named the Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player.
