EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. (KWWL) -

Nearly $10,000 worth of chainsaws and quick cut saws were stolen from J&R Rental in East Dubuque overnight.

One store employee says five chainsaws and five quick cut saws, totaling $9,000, were stolen after someone broke in around midnight.

The say the timing couldn't be worse.

"Because we don't have the chainsaws now and we're just coming into chainsaw season, so now is the time that people want to come in and upgrade their old chainsaws, and get new and stuff like that, so no we're going to have to reorder everything, get new stuff in and be ready," said Tony Steiner, with J&R Rental.

If you have any information about who might have done it, contact East Dubuque Police of the Dubuque/Jo Daviess County Crimestoppers.

It remains under investigation.
