Dubuque library announced Thanksgiving hours

The Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque Wednesday announced its Thanksgiving week hours. 

The library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25, 2016 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The Library will resume its normal hours at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2016.

Regular library hours are Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Noon to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and, Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The 24-hour book and audio-visual return drop boxes are at the following locations for patrons to return their materials: The Library’s front entrance, the drive up return boxes located along Bluff Street, the drive up return boxes located at the entrance to the main drive of Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School, 2001 Radford Road, and the drive up return box located outside the Dubuque Hy-Vee Store in Asbury Plaza. Return boxes are also located near the Information Desk inside the Dubuque Kennedy Mall, 555 J. F. Kennedy Road available during Mall hours.

The Library’s web site at offers access to the Library’s online catalog where patrons can renew and reserve materials, or browse the library catalog.

Another option for patrons to renew materials or check the status of overdue items is through the 24-hour telephone automated circulation system at 589-0887.
