Warm November helps Waterloo nonprofit do extra un-garage sale

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Expanding services to help more people.

Waterloo nonprofit Eye of the Needle wants to do more.

They recently applied for a grant from the Waterloo Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.

They're trying to get grant money, so they can provide more transportation options, like more bus cards.

Currently, the organization gives away free clothes and supplies to anyone in need.

Yesterday, they had their last un-garage sale of the year. They say around 500 people showed up. At the un-garage sale, they gave people free winter coats, clothing and other supplies.

Eye of the needle still has a lot of winter clothes available if you need them.

You can call or stop by anytime if you need anything.

They're located right next to Lincoln Park in downtown Waterloo.

Typically, the organization wouldn't be able to have an un-garage sale in November, like they did yesterday.

The warmer weather helped them out.
