WATERLOO (KWWL) -

At the corner of Linn and Gable in Waterloo, Talasa Wright's family remembers her life and the many lives she touched.

Talasa Wright was shot and killed Friday night in a car near that corner.

The family grieving and without answers.

"Come out cowards. You need to come out and turn yourself in. Do what you are supposed to do. Because Talasa didn't deserve that," said Talasa's great aunt Ora Murphy.

Investigators still work to understand exactly what happened; who and what led to the 19-year-old being gunned down in a car Friday night.

"We still don't understand that. All I know is that her mom says she was suppose to stay at home, but she ended up leaving," said Murphy.

There has certainly been a lot of pain and tears over the weekend as Talasa Wright's family mourns the loss of her. But at Tuesday's vigil there were a lot of smiles and laughter as the family remembered the person she was and the happiness she brought them.

"She took good care of her little sister and her little sister depended on Talasa for a lot of things. . . Talasa was a beautiful person. She was going to school in the medical field and she had a lot of potential ahead of her. To see that her life was cut so short, it really upsets you," said Murphy.
