DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Republican Congressman Rod Blum casting his ballot in Peosta.

He arrived to the Swiss Valley Nature Center along with his wife to vote.

Blum told KWWL News, he's feeling relieved. "Today is a culmination of two years of very hard work, and I think we've done a very good job back here in the district," he said.

Blum wants a second term in Congress. One of the issues he's focused on is reforming the government with term limits.

His Democratic challenger Monica Vernon is a former Cedar Rapids councilwoman.

She says she'll fight for working  families.

Our KWWL political analyst Dr. Chris Larimer says this is one of the most fascinating races, and it will be a tight one.

We'll be keeping you updated on the results as soon as they start coming in on-air and on-line.
