DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

After countless hours of hard work, an area family gets the keys to their new home.

Habitat for Humanity volunteers have been spending a lot of time putting the three bedroom home in Dubuque together.

They started in July and now they're done.

It's built to fit a family of five and they say it means everything to them. "It feels good to be able to move in and have our own yard and place for our kids to play," said Michele Steffy.

The family says they're looking for furniture.

Habitat officials for Dubuque and Jackson counties say they're in the process of finding another family to help.

There's a family selection meeting coming up in Dubuque. It's being held Thursday, Nov. 10 at 900 Jackson Street, Gallery C. at 7 p.m.
