Three people were taken into custody after a police chase with a reportedly stolen vehicle in rural Jones County.

Around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, Monticello Police Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle out of Missouri. The vehicle fled Monticello and attempted to elude officers through farm fields and ditches in rural Jones County. The Cascade Police Department and the Jones County Sheriff's Department joined the pursuit.

The suspect's vehicle then rammed a Jones County Sheriff's vehicle and a Cascade Police vehicle. The vehicle then reentered a residential neighborhood in Monticello where a Monticello Officer initiated a pursuit intervention technique at the intersection of North Maple Street and East 3rd Street and successfully brought the chase to an end.

The three people inside the vehicle, Kevin Glassmeyer, Dechone Jackson, and Megan Dains were taken into custody. Multiple firearms were located within the vehicle at the time of arrest.

The driver was transported to Jones Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
