Rick: "Good evening I'm Rick Coleman here as always on Thursday nights with UNI Head football coach Mark Farley.

Coach a very tough 24-20 loss to North Dakota State last Saturday at the dome in a game that could have gone either way."

Mark: "Well it could have up to that fourth quarter...we were driving to go in the game with three minutes to go in the game and that tipped ball goes for an interception."

Rick "Good things happened on both sides of the football ----on defense you held their offense and Easton Stick to just 118 yards passing.

Mark: I though our pass defense was good they only threw the ball 16 times but when they did we made some big plays but we leaked in the run a little bit and that's what they kept going back to."

Rick Yes their runningback Lance Dunn from Waterloo West ran for 118 yards rushing and you had difficulty finding traction in the run game...

Mark Well we did they started moving the line of scrimmage starting with four or five yards a carry and started to go down to three and two yards a carry..."

Rick Now you face and Indiana State team with similar problems they lost some very close ball games...They lost by three in double overtime they lost by one and last week they lost to Youngstown State by three after leading most of the game...

Mark Yeah its similar to us We've got four losses by less than 5 points...four points and three points---look at it and just one possession we have the ball in the fourth quarter with multiple times to score...but we are not making that score it doesn't matter if you lose by four or 40 you have to make that score.

Rick Every game is tough their quarterback Issac Harker has had a good season so far 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions... what do you see in their offense...

Mark Their coach is an offensive minded man coach Stanford is really good in the passing game and he is good at developing quarterbacks

so he is going to get the ball in air.

Rick: Got to win this game and I know you still see an scenario where you are still considered on selection Sunday.

Mark: Honestly you think that you are out of it because in the years past five losses would put you in a bad spot... but I pick up the USA Today on Tuesday morning and we are behind North Dakota State and Eastern Washington in the FCS if you look at all of the criteria and that is a part of the decision process and we have such a strong schedule that if we win ---we need to win November. We will find out if USA Today is right or the other polls are right.

Rick And you speak of a tough schedule UNI has been the toughest test on each of those schedules of all those teams you played.

Mark Well that's the scenario and that is part of it that's the hand we were dealt we don't get a choice in that we just have to line up and play we can't worry about that its just like worry about injuries you have to get the next guy ready and the next game ready to go.

Rick.. UNI vs Indiana State this Saturday in Terre Haute at one O'clock.. go get them coach...

Mark Thank You...
