Local Cubs fans watch game one on the edge of their seats

Some Cubs fans in Cedar Falls watched the end of the first game of the World Series on the edge of their seats at Pepper's Bar and Grill.

Game one wasn't an easy one to watch for Cubs fans; the team trailing the entire game.

However, Cubs fans say they are still riding the high of making it into the World Series. The reality of it hasn't yet set in for some.

"I am 22-years-old and I have been through 22 years of heartbreak. It is nice to finally be good; have a chance. I can see that the future looks really bright for the next couple of years,"said Adam Salutric of Cedar Falls.

"Just to see how passionate everyone is and how excited they get about it," said Kali Gahagan of Cedar Falls

 "My grandma, she is one of those older ladies who says, 'She has stayed alive to watch the Cubs win.' So that is awesome," said Nicole Steines of Cedar Falls.

The fans at Pepper's saying they are confident that they Cubs will come back in game two of the World Series.
